Why net load is not enough
The workpiece weight is not the entire lifting load. Beams, magnets, grabs, slings and below-the-hook devices add to the gross load.
Centre of gravity and geometry
Long, flexible, liquid-filled or unbalanced loads may require special attachments, dual-point lifting or synchronised motion.
Operating intensity
A crane used a few times per day is not equivalent to one serving multi-shift production. Cycles, load spectrum and annual use must be reviewed together.
Final decision
Pre-check tools prepare data. Capacity, structure, duty class and safety components require engineering verification.
